Real weddings

Two weddings, told properly.

Where, when, what was celebrated. Photographs by the wedding photographers, and six more weekends on film.

Puja in the morning in the village of Bagno Vignoni, the dhol in the lanes, the ceremony at the chapel of Vitaleta among the cypresses. Then a long table on the terrace, parasol lanterns over it, and dinner into the night.

British Vogue published the wedding. The photographs here are Beatrice Moricci's, and they are the ones we would show a planner who asks what a Val d'Orcia wedding looks like at the table.

A castle above Sovicille, south of Siena. The groom came up the drive on horseback with the baraat dancing around him; the ceremony was in the loggia, the henna the day before.
